Unsilent Night has quite a history could you tell us something about it. It started in New York with the composer Phil Kline and a group of his friends. He loved the idea of hearing music out in the city - filling the streets and bouncing off the walls in Manhattan.

Phil Kline's public sound sculpture Unsilent Night is created when many individuals simultaneously play one of four tracks on cassette, mp3, or mobile devices, and blast each through a roving swarm of boomboxes and speakers carried through city streets.

Below are some guidelines on how to participate in your local performance. Unsilent Night is a musical composition and participatory performance art piece by American composer Phil Kline which, since its creation inhas been performed around the world annually in December.
